Okay, if we are going to launch wild-eyed conspiracy theories, let me launch one of my own:
Michael Berg is so anti-Iraq war that he actively worked with insurgent terrorists to set his son up. Then when his son was seized and beheaded, he had more limelight to express his anti-American Ûber-Liberal views.

I would only add that Nick Berg was in no "communications" business, but rather was a maladjusted, pampered American who, last I heard was on his way to Turkey to go for a sail, or some such nonsense.

This may not be completely out there. Berg is part of International ANSWER, Move On and other subversive groups. He is known to have had dealings with Iraqis who were living in Philly and who were part of the Red Mafiya crack vial operation. And his sister lived in Iraq. The connections are apparent. Perhaps his did not consciously set up his son, but negligently I believe he did.
