Without getting into the details of the NRST at all, the fact it is advertised as the "fairtax", an attempt to condition opinion, the rate thereof is advertised as 23% when the actual percentage is 29.9%, and those that stump for it use misleading and erroneous fragments of the Federalist debates and court cases, that, when examined closely say nothing of the sort, in support of the NRST, indicated that there is something rotten with the deal.

And this without examining the implications of the actual HR25 sections and clauses.

You seem to have a comprehensive understanding of the topic. So what is the alternative? Status quo? Like I mentioned, I am suffering an audit right now, so it is hard for me to imagine anything less complicated or intrusive than the income tax.

With NRST, it would take away the argument of the Hillary types, because a tax increase would hit everyone, and it would be very visible. That seems like a plus.
