The President continued his visit in Ireland on Saturday with an EU summit. Saturday night, the First Couple flew to Ankara, Turkey, where they were received by the heads of state and Church.
Sunday, June 27th, the President reviewed the Turkey troops, laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Turkey's founder Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. He attended a formal photo shoot of the NATO Summit attendees, and then a welcoming dinner at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The NATO meetings will be held on Monday and Tuesday.
In a surprise sequence of events, L. Paul Bremer signed over full sovereignty to Iraq's interim government two days ahead of schedule in surprise ceremony; Saddam to be indicted this week.
EXACTLY!
Does it bother anyone else that clinton knows our national security secrets from when he was in office, he gets quarterly CIA briefings, and he's "married" to the junior Senator "from" New York?
what a magnificent evening gown the First Lady is wearing. Wow.
France has had a problem with her international image ever since English (the Hated English!) replaced French as the international language of diplomacy. And all that came with that ...
If I try to imagine myself, as an American, at a time when America had fallen into decline after being a world power, a superpower, I can get something of an idea of how the French must feel. I wouldn't wish them to get stronger in their current state, however. France needs God, very badly, on a much larger scale than she knows Him now.
Great Job!
Hi Homemom,
I agree, Laura looks stunning in that evening gown! I think that's the most beautiful dress I have seen her wear. She is lovely, isn't she, all the time, and especially in that gown.

The neckline of that white suit frames her face beautifully and is very photogentic. She looks great in the dark green (?) (or black ?) evening suit. The side walking split in that one suit is both attractive and practical but the pleat or peplum detail on the jacket back seems a little problematic. She sparkles in the turquoise gown, that color looks fabulous on her. I like the high neck and long sleeves in lace but I wish she had chosen a different neckline for the underlayer. A strapless would have been a knockout. She and the President were dazzling and so glamourous looking at that formal dinner in Turkey .
TruthNtegrity,
This picture is great!
And back in post #40, the close-up of the First Lady in this gown shows either a necklace or some beadwork on the gown that's interesting, very attractive.
Thanks for all your hard work.

Hi ladies,
I am chiming in, too!
The First Lady is even lovelier than ever.
{Laura B., you go girl!}
E.C.
And if this isn't rhapsodic love, I just don't know what is .. they are truly bound together so deeply. God Bless President and Mrs. Bush .. for the actions and the images of delicious, unabashed, joyous, monogomous married love you continually radiate for all the the world to contemplate.
Thanks, Truthy .. that was a BIG job .. and SO appreciated. "Let Freedom Reign!"
AND, the "legacy" momentoes he manufactured in his book are being refuted left and right by the participants. LOL

We just got back in town a little while ago. Went to B'ham for hubby to see his doctor. He is having a knee replaced. I love that shade of blue on the First Lady. I saw it earlier on another site.

I got a picture from the Bushes a few weeks back. Then when visiting my aunt in Des Moines over Memorial Day, she had the same picture at her house, but it had been cropped, showing them only from the waist up. And my other aunt, who was visiting from Milwaukee, said she was jealous because she hadn't gotten a copy. Ha! Maybe hers will be in a later mailing.
I read somewhere where Blair bonded with clinton but he shared the same values with President Bush.
Yes, she always does look beautiful. I think it's her inner beauty and joy and peace. And I'm sure her husband's obvious love adds a special glow, too. :-)
Has she lost more weight, or has the designer just FINALLY made her a dress that flatters her more than some of the previous ones?
