I figured people would be interested to see how it's been doing. One thing for sure: A huge profit for Michael Moore and friends.

You'd think the oldest trick in the documentary marketing book - saying your film is being "suppressed" by evil forces - wouldn't fool so many people, but if nothing else Michael Moore's chutzpah has paid off big-time.

Part of me genuinely admires his marketing prowness. I'm just surprised the public fell for it so hard.

That being said, I doubt that it's going to influence the election since the audience will be virtually all-left.

According to the article, Moore's film has netted under 6 million in profit on its first weekend after which, IMO, this movie will see a steep falloff in attendance.

6 million is alot of money, but it ain't huge.

I am glad to see this movie come out. I hope it inspires more libs to come out with other such crap. The more money spent on this type of garbage, the less money these libs have to contribute to the Democrat Party.

Sure Michael Moron makes millions off of this. And, he may contribute a mill to Kerry. However, much of the money will go to entrepreneurial capitalists...Of the $22 million made, Moore gets a couple million...That means, $22 million of the original liberal buying dollars, less than 10% will go directly to the Kerry campaign.

The movie will make some hardened against Bush, but they were ones who already hated him. The rest of us realize it is just propaganda BS.

This movie is being being bannered as the "high grossing documentary" - but it isn't a documentary - it is just a movie. Even MM is backing away from it being a documentary so it really should be compared to just a regular old movie and I don't think the opening would be that spectacular.

Also, you can bet that a few million in tickets were snapped up by DNC interests - not individuals.

And now that Iraq has been handed over, the whole movie is irrelevent. Bummer for MM.

We went to see Dodgeball which was quite funny!
