In other words, Al Qaeda's terrorism was a response to what the U.S has done in the Islamic world rather than being an unprovoked assault on America for what she represents. But it fits with the leftist meme that there was no terrorism before GWB attacked Afghanistan for oil at the orders of HalliCheney. In the latest version of lefthink, no embassy or other military target was attacked by Al Qaeda before 9/11. Reports otherwise are part of the VRWC. Even documents and policies from the Clinton administration were somehow controlled by the governor of Texas in the late 90's.
