And Bremer has already left Iraq!!!
Amazing.
And Zarqawi may have been captured!!!
Magnificent.
I wonder where Negroponte is..........LOL.
The American Brig Gen spokesman in Iraq says that is not true now.
He will be in the new U.S. embassy in Baghdad. The biggest embassy in the world.
I think our Ambassador has already presented his credentials to Iraq's President. We will still play a major role in Iraq for some years to come. Today was a milestone but the country has yet to have its first free elections. The violence makes holding them impossible for the forseeable future.
Yep. And it will be as tightly guarded by U.S troops as the old "Green Zone" civil administration headquarters was.
I heard a report somewhere over the weekend that regular Iraqis are tired of all the violence and are starting to take action.

Oh, thanks for that!! Reading it now...
Just been watching for an hour..can one surmise that Rather, Brokaw, Jennings were NOT invited to attend?
Somebody said Jennings was there, but the rest of them sent stringers.........LOL.
I'll wager the weren't told...for security reasons..
I just woke up and heard this news.
What a great idea. A surprise EARLY handover.
Strategerie triumphs once again.
Moore just vomited in bed and is now floating in his own vomit.

"ending the controversial 14 month occupation"....."
handing over powers after their hegemonial occupation of the victim state Iraq to its puppet leaders"....
SUCCUMBING TO THE OVERWHELMING AND VICTORIOUS PRESSURES OF THE HOLY JIHAD BY SURRENDERING ALL PAPERS AND DOCUMENTS TO THE MUSLIM VICTORS!!!"
Bremer has received a fair amount of criticism from both sides of the aisle. Has he not performed very well in a very difficult situation?
IMHO Paul Bremer has done a great job. He deserves an office in the Bush Administration next term. Maybe Secretary of State if Colin Powell doesn't stay.
