I live near Pekin, Illinois about as central as you can get - didn't feel a thing.
Just cause you live near by or central to anything doesn't mean you will feel anything. Depends on a lot of things such as are you on the fault line, how secure your house foundation is, what the surrounding ground structure is like, what thype of quake it was....and on and on
