What kind of name is Jjhn and how is it pronounced?
To: Murtyo
I'd like to think that all those who rail and protest against Mr Bush, who sneer at his simplicity and malapropisms, are hoping today that their own pessimism will be misplaced and praying that those who seek to frustrate democracy in Iraq will fail. But I'm not so sure, because such an outcome would mean - and this would never do - that George W. Bush might one day achieve a belated vindication... And that's where we are today. The Democrats in this country are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face. They are willing to see us lose if it means they can regain power. It will be a worse-off country for the loss, but it will be theirs to lead.

Everyone can be a rebel now because the quality of our past leadership gave us the freedom to attack and insult those now seeking to protect those very freedoms.

Adult comment on the protests of adolescents.
John Waters shows surprising substance, for a European commentator.
Thanks for the post.

It's so easy to stand on the side and pontificate. Especially when it's not YOUR freedom that is in question. Too bad these protestors don't realize the suffering the Iraqi people have been through.

here's another one from a different Dublin paper. You might be surprised how many people there have thought-out,well considered positions on this.
I even saw a frenchman the other day on TV accept the Europeans Governments are unresponsive to major issues and wait for the United States to act.

He wanted to predicate U.S. troop deployment on UN approval in his early days.
He is a product of his father's example (Like Father Like Son traced his father's career) and is a thoroughly repugnant condescending America-laster.
And it is the height of historic irony that his sophomoric lecturing to the slavering congressional stooges was proven the load of crap it was--by Ronald Reagan.
Now history repeats itself--because the Kerry who failed to learn the lesson of history is doomed to repeat it.

Honey-talking Bill Can't Match George's Guts and Honour is a surprising exercise in clarity.
No so-called "mainstream" commentator in the U.S. would dare be so blunt. Only "right-wing extremist bomb-throwers" (a laMark Steyn) would commit to such expressions.
There is intelligent life across the pond. Thanks for the link.

I had copied that very sentence to post! We are indeed blessed to have these men at the respective helms. By Christmas of 2000, I was convinced that the Almighty was giving the U.S. perhaps one last chance to turn from our wickedness and secular falling away, our utilitarian deal with abortion on demand and hedonistic over indulgence. I'm now convinced that if Kerry and his goons retake the halls of power, our judgment will build swiftly, to our national demise. The sovereigns have lost the focus of their responsibilities as sovereigns. And of course, politicians will always exploit such laziness. But with an evil enemy determined to kill as many of US as they can, such detachment as we see now is deadly. If conservatives do not turn out to vote in November, in record numbers, truly massive numbers, this nation will decline more rapidly than anyone can even imagine. May God have mercy upon US.
