This movie could easily become a hit because for one thing, it will not have an "R" rating - so the potential audience is far bigger. And, with a release coinciding with the July 4th weekend, it might just attract a large audience.
I hope they're advertising it heavily.
The tone of the NYT blurb you posted really sets my teeth on edge. So patronizing, so superior. I just want to do my part to stick it to them.
