I noticed that when Susan McDougal was being interviewed on television. The strange combination of slavish devotion to an absolute, criminal psycho, glazed eyes, periodically breaking into a weird, inappropriate smile raving god-like praises upon the villain, paranoia, fierce, semi-violent anger erupting at any insinuations of crimes committed by the guru leader, implications of being engaged in a cosmic struggle with forces of darkness hell-bent on destroying a totally innocent man, lack of general contact with reality and the obvious creepiness of the leader figure. Highly weird and bizarre in the extreme.
I have no doubt the fate of Jim McDougal was never far from Susan's mind.

What irks me is that an average working stiff like me can see this guy for what he is but a lot of American voters sure didn't. Great. We continue to send our taxes in to support him in retirement.
