This fellow has it right about the ethics. In my opinion, eating wild game that you have killed and prepared yourself, is the most ethical way to eat meat.

Not that I have anything against farms or grocery stores, it is just that eating meat that you have prepared yourself shows that you have considered and taken responsibility for all of the necessary actions required for eating meat.

There is an intense spirituality about hunting, trapping and fishing. There is something primal and deep within us that finds intense satisfaction from these activities. Much of what we do in everyday life seems just a pale substitute.
