The Green Party Convention is being shown on TV as we speak, on C-SPAN, 9PM EST.

Bad news. We needed Ralph.

I don't know. I am thinking more choices may be better.

Maybe not. I'd rather see the loonies choosing between Nader and Cobb, rather that Nader and Kerry.

Some Dems hate Nader for Election 2000. A new Green candidate might inspire more Dems to vote Green.

That's sort of what I'm thinking - Cobb might bring more new interest to the Green Party.

Ralph has name - recognition value.

The Dems just undercut Mr. Nader with inside operatives at Green. If Ralph decides this crap in 08 when Hillary! is the standard bearer, there just might be an accident...
To: Rennes Templar
Ralph is dviding up the Kerry votes, and Cobb is dividing up the Nader votes. More's the pity. LOL

The Deaniacs will go with anyone but Bush or Kerry.

I don't know, but the Dem online forums still get really vicious when the talk turns to supporting anyone other than Kerry - and, there are quite a few Dem voters who simply refuse to vote for Kerry, and post that on those forums. People go nuts, but, there are always other Dems who agree that Kerry does not deserve their vote. So, I don't know.
It will be interesting to see how many votes this new Green presidential candidate, Cobb, can win in 2004.

Any idea when Cobb takes the mic and speaks?

I agree with you - there is still an anti-war vote out there, and those people hate Kerry. And, Kerry doesn't seem to care. So, if he doesn't want their votes, OK, someone else will win those votes, I guess.

Thing is, non-Deaniac fence sitters who would lean toward Ralph will lean back to Kerry. Not good.
