Hi all. Long time lurker, first time poster.
The Pres dropping in on Iraq for the handover could make for a great event, but it would be extraordinarily dangerous. Iraq is probably going to be the most dangerous place on Earth on June 30. I'd fret for GWB's safety if he was there.

Yeah, it will be the most dangerous place. But from what I've seen of W, he would drop in just to spit in the eyes of the terrorist. It would be an enourmous PR coup.
Of course the libs will have a full grown cow if he pulls it off. They would go into fits, saying how he put himself in danger unnecessarily, blah, blah, blah, blah...

Maybe so, but if the President happens to drop by it will be at a very secure location(s) I'm sure, not just any street corner fair.
