I say it is hyperbolic because there is nothing in the text of the legislation to support the claim that Bible readings will be criminalized, or that Christians are being targeted.
I think hate crimes laws are a bad idea, but the original post was way, way over the top, and makes those who oppose this sort of legislation for sound reasons look like extremists.
