I have written my Senators. It's not that they insult me intellectually. It's that they are insulting me. In fact they are disgusting.
Nevertheless, it's good they know you are alert to what they are doing up there in your name. Now, forget about the Senate. They've already passed the bill. Here's what we need to do now.
To derail the bill, you need to contact the House of Representatives. You need to take two separate actions.
(1) Call your Congressman at 202-224-3121.
TELL YOUR CONGRESSMAN THAT YOU OPPOSE HR 4200, the Hate Crimes bill.
(2) Contact House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, urging him not to allow this legislation to come to a vote. The legislation cannot move out for a vote without his permission.
