According to constitutional experts, HR 4200---Hate Crimes Bill--establishes a dangerous constitutional precedent - allowing for two trials against a person accused of a crime, say, against homosexuals (among others).
Unless one's Congressman is a committeed Christian, letters and emails revolving around those arguments will fall on deaf ears. Most lawmakers need to hear the several Constitutional arguments that are included on the thread, such as the crucial one you excerpted:
