The sole purpose for invading Afghanistan was indeed to build a pipeline. It had nothing to do with the war on terrorism. For proof, just look at the first thing we did when we went into Afghanistan: we had Halliburton come in and build a massive pipeline right across the country.
Oh, wait, someone's now telling me that there is no pipeline. Nevermind.
