...Back on the East Coast, a number of other artists have dropped out of the July 8 Radio City Music Hall fund-raiser in New York, including Bette Midler (in Italy) and James Taylor (European tour).

On the bill, though, are Mary J. Blige, the Dave Matthews Band, Whoopi Goldberg, Wyclef Jean, Jon Bon Jovi and John Mellencamp, with Paul Newman hosting.
