1996 letter Villaraigosa wrote to President Bill Clinton seeking a pardon for a convicted drug dealer, Carlos Vignali, cocaine dealer Antonio Villaraigosa. He has made it clear that as mayor he would not allow the LAPD to become involved in immigration law enforcement.

Great! But somebody forgot the flip-flops.

Kids these are professionals, don't try this without the costumes provided by the LA Freepers, they are without a doubt the best dressed Freepers I have ever seen.

some industrious & talented FReeper should make a bunch of the flipper costumes for the next few months use. Sell for 100. Good use of $$ & some good pubbie can make a little $$$

Great! But somebody forgot the flip-flops.
Not quite. :o)
We DID have lots of "flip flops" at this event, but we did not use them very much.
For security reasons, we needed to assemble
ACROSS THE STREET from the concert hall, and SMALL objects were not very easy to see - from that distance.
Note, for example, the small "flip flop" sign above the "COMMIES (heart) Kerry!" sign - below:
It was a SMALL version of THIS wonderful idea, from:
FREE Kerry Flip Flop Costume -- you can make this yourself and FREEP Kerry!

wonderful post, signs, FReep! Thank you.
Ron, were you the one who coordinated the Rallys for America last year? if yes, you are the one who contacted me & first told me about FR. I was on Glenn Beck's site & there was a forum. I recall a "nice, helpful" guy from California told me about this "group". I truly did not investigate it until a few months later for the Vally Forge RFA

Great Freep! The 'Flipper' dolphin costume and sign is comical.
Also, it looks like there were a couple of inflatable dolphins to add to the mix. That gave me an idea, perhaps future Kerry Freeps might want to use helium balloons that are fashioned after 'flipper' the dolphin:
The balloons could appear to leap into the air if using two puppet strings. One string at the nose and one at the rear fin, that way one could anchor the tail to let the balloon rise to certain height and pull down on the nose at the top of the arc to simulate a head first rotation. Or, maybe such balloon operation would get too cumbersome?

I haven't been able to get "just a gigolo" out of my head, it's driving me nuts; I guess that's what happens when you listen to a song fifty times in a row :o)

Greetings from dc chapter. You guys did a fabulous job.
Your freep of Kerry was better than anything we have done to freep Kerry.
You had truly awesome signs and costumes and a great turn out too.
