WASHINGTON Vice President Dick Cheney (search) was unapologetic Friday about the salty language he used in a conversation with Sen. Patrick Leahy (search) earlier this week on the Senate floor, which erupted when Cheney dressed down Leahy for the senator's harsh criticism of government contracts with Halliburton.
[snip]
Cheney, who confronted Leahy on the Senate floor on Tuesday about the accusations, told FOX News on Friday that he's not sorry for dropping an expletive frequently reserved for only the angriest of exchanges.
"I expressed myself rather forcefully. I felt better after I did it," Cheney told Neil Cavuto.
When pressed on whether the vice president had actually dropped the F-bomb on the Vermont lawmaker, Cheney responded: "That's not the kind of language I usually use."

Good for Cheney. Apologies have their place ... but are far too fashionable these days, don't you think?
Woooo! BIGTIME!!
I love that man.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
The commie media ignores the left calling us every name in the book. And one word from a republican it is the word heard round the world. I am glad he said it so F--k the media and the Rats.
For once, a Republican stands tall, doesn't cave, grovel and beg for mercy from the liberals.
Like I posted elsewhere. Although I can't condone the language, I find his candor refreshing. Besides, his remark is a non invent not worthy of the news.
PING!!!
He should have bitch-slapped Leaky-Leahy. It would have made him cry.
I do not see how he has put up with the dems as long as he has.
John F'n Kerry is Shocked!
Good! I hope he stays that way.
I do like that man!!!!
Considering what we've heard from the left for months, it's refreshing to hear someone like Cheney actually put the left in their place, even if they're shocked.
Go Cheney. Perhaps all of us (including our elected officials) should stop being polite and tell this people/rats how we really feel. Don't hold back.
I feel better after you did it, too, Mr. Vice President. It needed to be said to that particular person long ago. You said it for me, too. Thank you.
