Hmmmm I wish I had seen that, anyone else see it???
I firmly believe that, if I am going to have an opinion about something, it should be informed. Googling for other people's opinions wouldn't be sufficient. I needed to see it for myself.
Its basic premise was its most fundamental flaw -- that Bush was malicious and/or incompetant. Moore makes a big deal out of the alleged financial interests the Bin Laden family and the Bush family, and the admittedly baffling blindness the Bush administration has for the Saudis. The images of the 9/11 devastation were perhaps the most powerful cinematic images I've seen since The Passion.
That said, it was unadulterated propeganda. I found myself doubting Bush in the theatre (I'd still like an explanation for his friendliness with the Saudis). But, as I walked out of the theatre, I talked with probably the only other conservatives in the group -- and we recounted precisely why Afghanistan AND Iraq were just causes. Much to the chagrin of the liberals of the throngs of lemmings there, we didnt agree with the gal who shouted "Down with Bush" in the parking lot. When I replied I'd vote for Bush -- even after seeing the movie -- she concluded I was a f---head.
I saw it, and Lisa Myers discredited just about everything in the movie, including the "bin-Laden/Bush family ties", "mysterious private plane flights" horse manure the Left-winged conspiracy theorist whackos like Moore have been spewing since 9/11. While she didn't deny the private plane flights never existed, she did say that what Moore said about it in his "movie" was absolutely untrue.
MSNBC is continually running Lisa Myers' piece on this today.....it's DAMNING.
And do NOT miss Joe Scarborough!
