New York, NY (LifeNews.com) -- Music fans should be outraged by a remix of a song off the latest hit album from R&B singer Usher. The remix, featuring hardcore rapper Joe Budden, advocates abortion and violence against pregnancy women, a representative of an African-American group says.
Usher's latest album, Confessions, has topped the sales charts for nine weeks, selling more than four million copies in only 11 weeks after its release. Three of the first singles from the album have hit number one, and the latest, "Burn," remains at number one for the seventh straight week.
However a remix of the song, "Confessions, Part II" is drawing complaints.
In the original, currently number two on Billboard's pop charts, Usher's "confession" is that he has had an illicit relationship with another woman. The mistress reveals she is three months pregnant and plans to keep the baby.
However, Budden adds additional lyrics to the song, not found in the original on Usher's album, saying he hopes she will abort the baby and, if not, he will beat her to cause the baby's death:
"Pray that she abort that, If she's talkin' 'bout keepin' it / One hit to the stomach, She's leakin' it," Budden sings.
Day Gardner, director of Black Americans for Life, an African-American pro-life group, says the lyrics are "demeaning and outright violent toward both women and unborn children."

Gramsci is smiling in his grave. Pure anti-hero worship (See John Fonte's why we have a culture war).

This barbarian deserves the condemnation. however, let's not forget that the vast overwhelming majority of abortions are initiated by WOMEN who exercise THEIR choice.

...good eye.
A whois on LifeNews.com showed me a "Women and Children First" advocate/organization.
A search on "women and children first" took me to the front page of the site. Then...the
"about" page.
Quote:
"Women & Children First began in a modest storefront in 1979. Over the years we've moved twice and recently expanded in our current location into an adjoining storefront. We're in a northside Chicago neighborhood known for its diversity, lesbian-friendliness, women-owned businesses and community spirit. Our staffers include teachers, graduate students, professional writers and storytellers, political activists, board members, and poets. Each of us is a reader, a feminist, and a bookseller."
Such organizations use a practice that early socialist tacticians and writers described as "incrementalism" or "gradualism." The idea is to toss one socialist effort (like feminism) in with a lot of conservative advocacy in hopes of selling the one socialist effort to conservatives, thereby polluting their platform and beliefs.
Have a look at this one.
"President Of Feminist For Life Of America To Address Sacred Heart" Sacred Heart University
[Read the third paragraph for the surprise! It reports that Feminists for Life (oxymoron) helps to make laws against fathers, and therefore, laws against families instead of laws against abortion!]
And ditto on the mention of Gramsci. I'll take a look at that. The effort behind the article is not to call attention to the vulgar and morally bankrupt rap lyrics. It's to use repetitions of such stories to keep the '90s vilifications against men going. ...and, of course, to eventually sell all of the other feminist/homosexual activist concepts with efforts that appear to be conservative.

"President Of Feminist For Life Of America To Address Sacred Heart" "FFL has emerged as the link between the pro-life and pro-choice worlds, working on efforts such as the enforcement of child support and, the Violence Against Women Act."
The VAWA, by the way, puts men in federal prisons (minimum 5 year sentence) if they've had a restraining order filed against them by their ex-wives (accusation is all that's needed) and later found with so much as one round of ammunition. ...imprisonment by divorce accusation. It was written by NOW members and passed by both Democrats and Republicans during the Clinton Administration.

The Child Support Act (another Clinton Administration bill) imprisons men (many of whom cannot possibly pay what was ordered due to layoffs, long periods of waiting for courts to hear their adjustment cases, etc.) for their debts.
