"Secretary of State Colin Powell holds the government in Khartoum responsible for the Arab militias' persecution of the black population in Darfur." Still, Harry Belefonte calls Powell "Uncle Tom".

Heard some yutz (some NY paper reporter) on the radio talking about this situation. When asked what he felt could/should be done, his response was "have the UN and international community ally pressure"...blah, blah, blah. It amazes me that these people still think the UN is a) effective enough to put together a group to put pressure on anyone b)able to do anything once applying pressure fails.
I wish I could go through life ignoring facts. Even my 11 year old understands that past actions are what you use to judge future actions.
