Today, Santa Fe City Council Democrat David Pfeffer held a press conference to endorse President Bush over the nominee of his own party. Dozens of Bush-Cheney supporters turned out to support Councilor Pfeffer, who issued the following statement:
"We are at war. The attacks on September 11, the killing of innocent civilians, the vicious hatred of America by the perpetrators, the danger of nuclear weapons falling into the hands of those who would do us great harm given half the chance - all demonstrate how much is at stake. "We need a decisive leader - someone with a clear understanding of our enemies' intentions and with no illusions about the seriousness of our situation - leadership that doesn't doubt itself or its orders or its ability to win - leadership that knows what it has to do and does it.
"Luckily, Democrats, like me, have a decisive leader that we can support. It just happens that he is a Republican.
"I will be voting in November to re-elect President Bush because I know he has no doubts about the value of keeping us free."
David was joined at the event by former Albuquerque City Council President Vickie Perea, a former Democrat elected official who switched parties recently to support President Bush. Vickie, a member of the campaign's national Hispanic steering committee, introduced Councilor Pfeffer to the crowd.
It was clear to all in attendance why hundreds of Democrats across the country join believe President Bush is the right man at the right time to lead our country. Pfeffer pledged his support to the campaign, and when asked if he thought it would injure his future political endeavors in a city that is heavily Democratic, replied that winning New Mexico's electoral votes for President Bush was far more important than any personal political ambition he might have.
Councilor Pfeffer is a courageous New Mexican leader who is doing what he thinks is right for his community, his state, and his nation. We are proud to have him as part of our campaign here in New Mexico.

THANKS, LORD.
Please, Lord, change millions of DIMRAT minds toward such convictions.
I believe he is one of what Hugh Hewitt calls "9/11 democrats". I really think many serious democrats are not going to be happy with the whole anti war M Moore garbage dump.
You won't see this on AP, UPI, RUETERS or any of those lib WHORE rags!
Lessee. Switch about 198 more Dem votes and Dubya wins the state. :-)
