"Zzzzzzz.... snrk ... wha- ...?!" Oh sorry, I drifted off.
Six thousand, two hundred and seventy-five words of turgid and lifeless prose. And it starts off badly, too.
"When we Americans first began..." Began to WHAT?!
I can't wait to hear what Charles Krauthammer has to say today!
>>SIGH<<
Sigh. Where do you begin to address a piece like this? The man isn't rowing with both oars.
Boy, could I do a photoshop number on that pic. Linda Loveless reborn as a politician.
They're gored to tears.
Make that flaccid and lifeless prose.
What would Thomas Jefferson think of the curious and discredited argument from our Justice Department that the president may authorize what plainly amounts to the torture of prisoners - and that any law or treaty, which attempts to constrain his treatment of prisoners in time of war is itself a violation of the constitution our founders put together.
What?????????? Gore asking what Thomas Jefferson would think??????Someone correct me please if I am wrong here but...wasn't it al gore who didn't recognize the bronze bust of Jefferson when he visited Monticello? Didn't Sore Loserman ask the curator "Who are these fine fellows" or something to that effect? Seems to me Jefferson was one of these "fine fellows" and Gore as Vice President couldn't even recognize him??!!??? Now gore wonders what Jefferson would think????????
I wonder what Jefferson would think of the blatantly IGNORANT, UNINFORMED and RAMBLING gore???????? What a loser.
fUNNY MOVIE!!!
How would Ben have felt when AlGore asked "Who's that?" pointing to a bust of Thomas Jefferson?
Oh thank goodness!!! Someone else remembered this too. Anyone else out there remember? Chime in if you do. Makes gores speech a joke...not that we needed this to make it a joke. We all knew it would be a joke. :)
wow...look at that expression. Downright scary.
Did you see Brit Hume's old footage of Gore when he was running against Bush Papa in 1992?
Gore was on Larry King excoriating the first Bush admin for not doing enough against Saddam.... because "intelligence tells us there are terrorists in Iraq...they're dangerous and they're teamed up with Saddam Hussein. And we're told that Saddam is getting closer to having a nuclear weapon....blah, blah, blah." I swear, Gore on tape saying that. Moira said, "That was when he was a hawk". LOL!
I saw it! C-Span, morning before inauguration, 1993. They had their campaign BUS stop at Monticello on their way into D.C. Whatta bunch of goobers.
Al Gore seems to overlook the fact Al Qaeda has been entrenched in Iraq AND Saudi Arabia for some time now and is indeed a second front in the War On Terror. I'm sure the beheadings of Americans and South Koreans doesn't give him a moment's pause that the enemy has a global reach. And in Iraq, Abu Musab al Zarqawi has threatened to assassinate Iraq's new Prime Minister. So I would like to ask Algore and the Left in this country why Iraq's fledgling democracy is not worthy of Allied protection from people who are after all sworn to impose, in their own words, "Islamic rule upon the Earth." All over the planet mind you and the imposition of terrorist states allied with Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia is but one step towards Al Qaeda's plan of global domination. And Algore is obsessed with trivial issues that have nothing to do with the nature of the enemy we're facing, like the freedom of a Fourth Estate that on most days, doesn't seem to appreciate the stakes involved for the future of America. Well, let me remind Algore the American people certainly do.
Thanks for reenforcing my sanity. :) Appreciate it.
Moira said, "That was when he was a hawk".
HAWK? Wow...Moira must have been going for the "best joke of the night" award. :) Hawk???
It's exactly how listening to Algore makes me feel...........lol!
I read it. Dude, you're boring.
OK. Sounds good to me!
