Gore Accuses Bush of Lying About Saddam/Al Qaeda Tie

(CNSNews.com) - Former Vice President Al Gore in a speech before an audience at Georgetown University Law Center Thursday accused President Bush of lying about Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda being in cahoots in plotting the Sept. 11 attacks. Gore said Bush "knew full well that he was telling an artful and important lie, visibly circumnavigating the truth over and over again, as if he had practiced how to avoid encountering the truth." President Bush said recently that the administration "never said that the 9/11 attacks "were orchestrated between Saddam and al Qaeda." He added, "We did say there were numerous contacts between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda." President Bush offered the example of Iraqi intelligence officers meeting with Osama bin Laden in Sudan. "There's numerous contacts between the two," he said. Bush's comments followed a finding by the commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks that there was no "credible evidence" that Saddam and al Qaeda had a "collaborative relationship" at the time of the 9/11 attacks. In anticipation of Gore's speech, the Republican National Committee on Thursday circulated an "Anger Management" brief, quoting various Washington insiders who recently described Gore as "out of control," in need of psychiatric help, "in full hatred mode" and unstatesmanlike.

It is hard to believe such a whack job got within 500 votes of being President.

My question is, who the heck cares what Algor thinks? I just heard him on the radio, and he's babbling like a crazy man. He's delusional, more than before.

And I accuse Gore of lying about Bush claiming 'Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda being in cahoots in plotting the Sept. 11 attacks.'

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

When I think of Al Gore, I think of a lonely, broken man sitting alone in an attic, staring into a mirror, smearing lipstick all over his face, with a pot of bunny rabbits boiling away in the kitchen. Of course Tipper sits alone in the living room staring at her fingers, with a bottle of opened, prescription Thorzine by her side. And to think how close these people were to being the represented leaders of the free world.
