United Nations weapons inspectors confirmed last week not merely that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, but that he smuggled them out of his country, before, during and after the war.

IMPOSSIBLE. If this were true it would be a top news story and a headline in every paper in the country, and world.

Watch tomorrow Gore will be on the front page of every paper with his argument that Bush is falsely making an Iraq AQ connection.

Excellent observation! It is good see someone using their
head. Here is the UNMOVIC report in question, read it for
yourself to confirm that UN weapons inspectors confirmed
that materials declared to UNMOVIC have been removed from
Iraq (mostly sold for scrap) AFTER the US and UK took
control of Iraq, in some cases after Saddam Hussein was
in custody:

Indeed, that is the very report referenced by the _World
Tribune_ which published the headline you quoted.

But don't trust me! Read it for yourself. Check the dates.
