I can't take it anymore!!!!!!
This whole thread is like a bad skit on SNL!!!
It was Rex Harrison who was in Midnight Lace.
The IMDb is your friend, people!!!
I can't recall the exact channel, but yes, it was AMC or TCM. Think it was the latter cuz I think there were commercials in it.
I'm just grumpy cuz it's like a comedy of errors here! So much misinformation on one thread.
Well, I managed to marry a man who is big and dark-haired, but he's not a mountain man and he can't carry a tune. He's a good ol' country boy, though, and a bit of a cowboy, so I've got no complaints! :)
I've always liked Roy Rogers, too. He and Dale have always been such good, Christian people. I read Dale's books when I was young and they really had an influence over my life. I think "Angel Unaware" was Dale's best - the book about their little girl born with Down's syndrome.
We're studying the campaign techniques of the Democrats. Did you know Hillary was named for the first man to climb Mount Everest?
Who would've thought that a thread about Doris Day would be up to 225+ posts!
Agnes Moorehead.
And correct about Automat.
******
The supporting actress in "That Touch of Mink" was Audrey Meadows, the real-life wife of Steve Allen. She looks a lot like Agnes Moorehead did when she was younger. I just watched this movie a few days ago on AMC.
No kidding? <;)
Ennnhhh! Steve Allen's wife was JANE Meadows, not Audrey Meadows. Audrey co-starred with Jackie Gleason in The Honeymooners.
Something about Jane always rubbed me the wrong way. But Audrey was nice.
Hey! The next time you go to the Swap Shop on Thursday or Sunday, check out a dude name Shalom selling costume jewelry in the Preferred Section (just east of the two large flags). He has some interesting and amusing political observations. He calls himself "Hassid Light" and he is dressed in the traditional dark garb, beard etc. but when the sun comes out he wears a Marlboro cowboy hat and smokes a cigarillo. He speaks a bunch of languages including Spanish, French, and even Haitian. You can't miss him. Anyway, you gotta hear his political observations. Amusing and great! This guy should be on stage!
I didn't know that (I haven't seen the movie much if at all); I was cued by the "Bewitched" reference! Thanks for the correction.
It *is* a nice place! And yes, bottles of Sherry are in the rooms. :o)
She, Jane Meadows, is a lefty snot.
They were in several movies together, also with Tony Randall.
Agnes Morehead.
My fav was 'Kiss Me Kate' with her.
I would have to add Jane Russell. Also maybe Marilyn M. and Esther Williams.
Just saw the DVD in Target this AM.
