Thanks JP............here is a link (to be fair) to Nothing Man's post that got me so riled up.

POST 3673 THREAD 10

I will say here I have no axe to grind with him. My post is how I and many others feel. Some feel otherwise and that is their choice. We have to watch all of them, we have to fight them on their own level (down and dirty).

What irked me most was accusing some posters on the TM of (quote" people openly advocate terrorism, others silently approve, and the rest simply say nothing."unquote)

THAT is not what this thread is about. Sometimes when another person is beheaded people get angry and we can chalk some of the off the cuff remarks to anger IMHO. (what decent human being would not be angry at beheadings and murder of our soldiers) The four Marines and all the rest plus the hostages still held!!!

To wimp out now like BJ did would put us back years in the fight with them. Why do you think they want Bush gone?

They are hoping and praying to allah that we elect a wimp with no cajones who will perhaps give them "AMNESTY" like the Saudis and pull our troops out of the middle East.

ALSO, this morning MSNBC reported there are videos of children practicing beheadings which came from the same mosque that Moussaoui and Richard Reid belonged to. How's that for the religion of peace???

Zarqawi made their intentions quite clear in his new tape where he claims that they will fight until Islamic rule is back on earth. I don't understand why half of the country doesn't get it yet.

Thank you for the posts you've made on this subject, WCG.

I'm rather irritated at the moment at being painted with NothingMan's broad brush, with implications that "we" are advocating violence against those who have declared jihad against us, and would kill us.

In fact, I'm more than a bit irritated. I won't sit here and be admonished for what I wrote on the last thread.

I haven't formed my thoughts enough yet, having just started catching up, but after reading NM's comment from the other day, it's fairly insulting that he thinks some of us who posted followup to #3414 on the last thread are advocating violence.

If we are not even allowed to defend ourselves against this enemy -- then I don't know what hope there is for our country.

This is not the typical enemy that we have faced in the past. This is a new war, one we have never fought before.

Perhaps some don't agree with the post that started all this -- #3414. But that post was made in the wake of TWO beheadings of civilians in the past few days. And in spite of what NM claims, there was not one follow-up post that called for violence now, today.

Every post that I could find was in answer to what would we do IF beheadings begin here. My own post stated that IF (IF, NM) we face an even larger attack in the US, then yes, something further will have to be done, along the lines of what was proposed in the original post. The original post was not even advocating violence, but proposed measures that would prevent further attacks on us, for heaven's sake.

What else are we supposed to do?

NM makes no sense with: "After this coming attack, I'm sure there will be no shortage of self-righteous volunteers. It is a great pity that they will not be able to see that they will have become what they so hate themselves."

This is madness. Where did that come from?

I fear for this country if this thinking prevails. What in God's name are we to do?

If we don't get to the point of defending ourselves properly, after a major attack that will probably cost us hundreds of thousands of lives, then I really don't even want to live any longer, because life in this country will not be worth living.

I have appreciated reading NM's comments in the past, but at this point, I feel betrayed by someone who I thought had some insight into this issue. I see I was *very* wrong, and will have to discount other posts he's made which I once thought were worth reading.

I hope to heaven that NM has no influence whatsoever with anyone who is making any sort of policy decisions, because this comment of his is typical of those who just want us to be "better" than our enemy.

I don't want to be better than my enemies. I want to survive them.

As Letitring said so succinctly, "It's called self-defense."

And anyone who thinks that I won't defend my family or anyone else from a beheading, has another think coming!

Thank God those who would have knuckled under in 1776 were not on the winning team. Where would we be today?

It's unfortunate that NM has chosen to bow out of this after accusing some of us of advocating violence.

But I reject entirely his interpretation of the post that started it all.

Sorry for the length of this post, but I am pretty steamed about this, and will not let that accusation stand against us here.
