We drive a newer Integra and it got through some pretty large snowdrifts this past winter (amazingly). We looked at potentially buying a VW Vanagon (so we could sleep in it when we traveled), but the horrendous gas mileage convinced us to ante up for the occasional motel bill or campsite instead. We get around 35 mpg on the highway with our present car and I kinda have high expectations now of other vehicles.
You can never go wrong with a Volkswagen.
An old thought. Maybe it has changed now. I really don't know. Love my Toyota though.
