I have now had the distinct pleasure of meeting a self styled fictional character of the Augustinian Roman Empire (circa AD 26) who claims to have invented a free energy communication system ( dont tell me, its the ley lines, right?)that can roast me within a certain geographic area at will.
(Sure could have used that on my last camping trip to roast weenies without a fire.)

Yes it is best to post a link and describe it, then let folks click on it if they wish. If you paste the URL your IP will still be logged. Who knows how many web site owners actually dig through all this info though. When I posted the Berg video at my site I had a log with over 35,000 unique downloads in the 24 hours before my host shut me down for the month. I was surprised to see that a large percentage of the downloaders were referred from DemocraticUndergound. If you are at all worried about being identified when visititng a particular site it is best to use an anonymous proxy server.

A little digging will show that my IP address belongs to Comcast, going beyond that a TraceRoute will likely show that I am surfing from Oregon, but nobody is going to find out much more about me from just my IP address. Now if somebody really wanted to track me down they would need to be or know somebody that works for Comcast and has the priviledges to access personal information.

Mubarak undergoes successful back surgery in Germany
CAIRO - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak underwent a successful back operation in Germany on Saturday, the health minister said.
Mohamed Awad Tag Eddin said in a national broadcast on state television that doctors in Munich, Germany, had operated on Mubarak, 76, to correct a slipped disk.
"A successful operation was carried out this morning for Mr. President," Tag Eddin said from Germany.
Dr. Michael Mayer, the surgeon in charge of the German medical team that performed the surgery, said: "There were no complications or problems during the surgery," and that Mubarak will be starting to walk Sunday.
It has been rare for state media to report on Mubarak's health, but since going to Germany for back treatment, there have been regular updates broadcast apparently to reassure Egyptians that the president was not seriously ill.
In November, the president interrupted a speech to parliament for 30 minutes, suffering a cold and a slight drop in blood pressure.
The interruption caused a brief political scare as Mubarak - who has ruled Egypt since 1981 - does not have a designated successor.
In early July, he is scheduled to appoint a new government.
Mubarak's wife, Suzanne, and sons Gamal and Alaa, accompanied the president to Germany, who arrived in the European country on June 20. It was unclear when he would be able to return to Egypt.
