Unmentioned in the article are the 50-60 thousand Arab refugees initially housed in UNWRA camps in Israel. They were, of course, resettled in Israel.

It's too late tonite for me to say more. Except that Plaut gives a great summation here. BTW My family is friendly with the Plaut family, one of them was the chief rabbi of Canada.

The fact that Jenin, Rafah, et al still exist is a disgrace. Refugee camps that have celebrated their Golden Jubilee no longer house "refugees". Instead, they are home to "professional dependents".
