June 23, 2004 -- REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Jurors at the Scott Peterson double-murder trial yesterday traveled back in time to Christmas morning 2002 and watched as the "calm, cool, relaxed" suspect laughed as he told a detective about his missing wife's fastidiousness. With Detective Al Brocchini in the witness box, prosecutors played a DVD on a big screen that showed Peterson being interrogated at the Modesto police station 16 hours after he claimed he went fishing, leaving his eight-months pregnant wife, Laci, at home mopping floors.
"Why was your wife mopping the floors on [Christmas Eve] morning?" Brocchini asks Peterson on the recording.
Peterson leans back in his chair, chuckles and replies, "She was very meticulous about it, with it being Christmas and with the dogs and the cats in the house." Police later learned that the Petersons' housekeeper had mopped the floors the previous day.
Peterson was also seen snickering when Brocchini asked ........

Scott Peterson appeared calm and emotionless even as a police detective grilled him on his whereabouts the day his wife disappeared and later when the detective accused him of having multiple extramarital affairs, according to testimony at his double-murder trial Tuesday.
Peterson sipped from a coffee cup, stuck his hands in his pockets, talked in a steady and calm voice and even joked about misfiring his gun, during the interview by Detective Al Brocchini at the Modesto Police Department. The interview, recorded by video camera and played for jurors Tuesday, took place just after midnight Dec. 25, 2002, six hours after Peterson reported his wife, Laci, missing.
Throughout the hourlong video, Peterson expresses little concern for his missing pregnant wife. He also appears unconcerned about questions relating to what he'd done and where he'd been earlier that day......

Meringue show statement being questioned...The crossexamination continues. One liner in one show at 48 minutes into show and subject was meringue the day before..#5 says police can't get anything right.
Concern being expressed by Nancy Grace.
Maybe he got a better offer? I think this guy is probably guilty, but I sure am troubled by this trial by public opinion stuff. Maybe we should just let the news stories have a couple weeks to push their point, then put up a web page and let us all vote.
My self I prefer a little physical proof. Unless a dog can lead me to a body, or some other personal evidence that ties to the person, I have little faith on the dog's ability to tell me where someone may or may not have been, based on a handlers feelings.
That is incredible and gives me concern about what other jurors may be up to....If they listened or discussed LKL the other night, Scott is home free.
The reason people have to "anchor" bodies down to is to keep the gas filled object from surfacing too soon. It is in the best interest of the person hiding a body on a water bed to keep it down there as long as possible so that it will do ALL decomposing on the bottom and NEVER float to the top.
In this case Laci's body broke away from the anchors...the reason she surfaced without a head, hands and lower legs...the body cavity was full of gas and the constant pull against the anchored items allowed the gas filled cavity to break away...once she surfaced the atmospheric pressure was released from her body (33 feet = 1 ATM at the surface it would be 0 *if you are a scuba diver you will understand HOW the weight of water has an effect on the human body and blah blah) once her body surfaced...it didn't have the WEIGHT of the water on her and it allowed the baby to be expelled from her torso.
Therefore the lungs can no longer be ONLY looked at as being "occupied" by a substance may it be water or a gas to assume a live birth...at that point in time the whole body had been invaded by water and gas.
THANK YOU!!!
>>From the cnn article:
I got canned." Said Juror #5, whose name has yet to be issued to the public.
"What for?" Asked the cameraman (since none of the talking heads had caught up with him, yet, and one was reported to have her high heel caught in the escalator steps).
"I guess my Gameboy made too much noise, but I was just trying to stay alert. This trial has been such a bore, I mean, who cares? The guy maybe did it, but it's not like he's a serial killer or something. He'll probably never do it again, ya know?"
"Did you think the evidence was compelling to convict?" Asked the cameraman, eyeing Mike Cardoza and Beth Karas, who were sprinting towards him as he spoke. <<
Please tell me this is not true??!!
I've never heard anyone as stupid in my life!!!
He's the same age as my son, but thank goodness my son has a clue!!!!
"Compelling? Heck no. If it hadn't been for my girlfriend giving me all the updates during the breaks and reading the news stories to me, I wouldn't have known WHAT the hell was going on!"
Finally!!!
It's got to be a bogus post.
No electronic devices are allowed. I don't believe it.
Perhaps he was funning the media as he feels abused by them...I also find it incredible. CNN was supposed to be the source.
Get it?

The Judge needs to find this LUNATIC in contempt and jail him. I have NEVER heard or witnessed anything like this in my life.
as he feels abused by them...
Yea, that's why he's making himself available for media interviews, etc. I wonder how much they are paying him for his appearance on TV tonight?
He'll be on LKL I'm sure!
I don't think the judge expected this at all.
Stay tuned..:~)

I'm tuning in Dan Abrams, too. I bet Dan has a fit!
Juror #5
Notice he's not running away and dying his hair orange.
Isn't that what he said scott did because of the media abuse.
This story has nothing to do with politics. It is simply about whether a man murdered his wife. I wish Freepers would understand the difference between human (or subhuman) interest and serious news. Don't clutter this site with posts and comments about something as irrelevant as the Peterson case.
Do you see my "concern" about California Jurors?? I fail to see how THIS man could have even been picked.
