In the Arab heartlands of Islam, Muslims are making a gory mess of their faith.

Of course the problem is --- islam is an Arab religion --- it's theirs to define. Turks for example might be more modern and peaceful --- but the religion has been imposed on them by Arabs so Turks aren't really in a position to redefine it.

The author has his finger on the pulse of events in the Middle East, and his analysis rings so true. He really captures the tenor of the times, as well as the historical background of current events.

We should relinquish control of the Iraqi prisons and prisoners to the Koreans.

My bet is that it would not be long before the prisoners were begging to have their heads cut off!!

Thanks for the post. Good article.

The family secret of the hard-Left is that its followers share one powerful trait with Osama bin Laden: They need to look down on others, to feel superior and just.

...and anti-life, anti-freedom.

They are both rapidly heading for the ash heap of history

Yeah, I checked out that page. Did I miss the part where they talk about the CIVILIANS who have been beheaded by Al Queda? Oh, wait, those deaths don't serve their (irquibodycount.org) purpose, do they? Pearl,Berg, Johnson, Kim, their deaths might be some sort of justification for the war, and we can't have that, now can we?

Hmmm, 11000 in about 500 days since we went in, that's 22 a day on average, which is a small fraction of the rate at which Saddam was killing his own people so, overall, this is a big improvement.

I guess you're not as silent a watcher as they'd like. ;^)

Those who post such links and have relatively new counts are often considered "trolls", because, well, they usually are.

Hopefully that's not true in your case, and I urge you not to feel "censored" because others may not agree with you, but rather post what you wish to post (within the posting guidelines, of course). Disagreement, no matter how passionate or rude, is not censorship.

As for the "body count", I am reminded of "gun control" studies where 19-year-old gang members are listed as "children" killed by "gun violence".

Many civilians have died in Iraq, but not all of them were killed by U.S. forces (unless you think the U.S. uses car bombs), and not all of them were non-combatants.

Propaganda, no matter how self-righteous, is still propaganda, and lies are still lies.
