"And such a great story. The horse has gone from worthless to priceless.""Quite appropriate, and President Reagan would have heartily approved."
Yes, I think so too. Sgt. York and RR had obstacles to overcome. The obstacles were not rocks in their path, but stepping stones on thier road to greatness.
"CSM", thanks for posting this story. BTW, do you own "Kleenex" stock?.........;^)

I LOVE this from your profile page: "I celebrated Earth Day 2004 right--I test drove 2 SUV's!! VROOOOM!" You have some great quotes on it that I will share with others and may even post some on my own profile, next time I update it.
Glad you liked the article! :-)

Oh gee, I used that tagline to call attention to the men and women serving our country today - not "my" service many eons ago! But thank you for the "thank you". Nice to meet you. :)

Those of us with experience are more apt to thank those currently serving. We needed your sacrifice then, just as we need the current sacrificing now. All Vets and current soldiers deserve the appreciation of all citizens enjoying the freedom of today.
BTW, that's a good pic in your profile. Were you in the AF?

Heheheh! I loved the irony of scheduling a SUV test drives for Earth Day. It would have been even better if I'd done it on purpose...there is always next year.... :)
Very glad you found the info on my profile page useful, please share it with as many folks as possible. I have tons more quotes that need to be added--thanks for reminding me to revamp it.
