And that's the real sad thing - there IS no innocent kid's movie I don't have kids, so I'm not really in the market for kids' movies, but I occasionally will rent one if the hype is big enough. I thought the first Harry Potter movie was good fun; had it come out when I was a lad, I may have seen it several times. I hope there's no silly objection based on matters of occult themes or other nonsense.

There has been concern, but I don't really think that's a big deal in those stories.

I hope there's no silly objection based on matters of occult themes or other nonsense. Well, Rome's official exorcist, Fr. Gabrielle Amorth said "behind Harry Potter hides the signature of the king of the darkness, the devil."
"The exorcist, with his decades of experience in directly combating evil, explained that J.K. Rowling's books contain innumerable positive references to magic, 'the satanic art'. He noted that the books attempt to make a false distinction between black and white magic, when in fact, the distinction 'does not exist, because magic is always a turn to the devil.'"
But what does he know.

Oh, dear God. You are so lucky, to have missed the rabid foamings of the anti-Potter crowd. Harry is the devil, after all, y'know.
