It was a great movie. I recommend all see it. The only problem I have is that the Donkey( Eddie Murphy ) does not have the "Cross" marking on his back.
Regardless of one's attitudes about transgendered people, you have to laugh at this phrasing.
It's funny....and it pokes fun at a lot of things. (I did like the part about putting Tinkerbell in the jars....).
Once again...some idiot...is trying to tell us that this one movie will bring about the end of the world.
Perhaps they should just be better parents....

I've read many of the comments to you and it appears the senses of some folks have been dulled to the point that they cannot see the issues, and perhaps by posting this article you're stepping on toes.
From the article
The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender. The character has a five o'clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male.This doesn't belong in a kids movie. As a kid I enjoyed the Bugs Bunny cartoons and didn't realize some of the humor until I was older. The humor I understood was to fool Elmer Fudd and the Tasmanian Devil and was never intended to imply a sex change. It was a completely different time.
During a dance scene at the end of the movie, this transgendered man expresses sexual desire for Prince Charming, jumps on him, and both tumble to the floor.Completely unacceptable for a kids movie. Tie that in with what kids are getting fed in schools and the kids put it together.
...Donkey encourages him to lie about something and suggests he lie about wearing women's underwear. When he denies wearing women's underwear, his nose begins to grow.Completely unacceptable for a kids movie.
An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him. Later, one of the characters refers to the wolf's gender confusion. If this is accurate, at least they refer to it as confusion, but there's no need to mention this in a kids movie.
The battle is for the mind of our kids. If the senses of some are too dull to see the issues, we can pray their eyes are opened to what's really going on.
I always wondered why porky pig never wore any pants.
I don't know. I figured the Larry King Character was just an ugly woman...I suppose I am naive.
I have to wonder if the Traditional Values Coalition are somehow related to the eternally better-than-you folk over at the Landover Baptist Church? Both seem to be masters at the art of satire, for surely no one takes TVC seriously.

Or a post-menupausal woman. (Just kidding!)
I thought this movie was harmless. Same for Harry Potter.
Just my $.02.
Allegation: "The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender."
Actually, the movie says NOTHING about the actual gender of the bartender. She may be a woman with a deep voice and with facial hair. The Traditional Values Coalition should be made aware that such women DO exist.
Allegation: During a dance scene at the end of the movie, this transgendered man expresses sexual desire for Prince Charming, jumps on him, and both tumble to the floor.
As stated above, it is actually a woman.
Allegation: Donkey encourages him to lie about something and suggetsts [sic] he lie about wearing women's underwear. When he denies wearing women's underwear, his nose begins to grow.
This does happen. But how does it represent a subtle sexual message? If anything, the movie indicates that lying about something is wrong. Does the Traditional Values Coalition take a different position?
Allegation: An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him. Later, one of the characters refers to the wolf's gender confusion.
True, the wolf assumes a false disguise for immoral purposes. Both Charles Perrault and the Grimm Brothers depict it the same way. But the line in the movie about gender confusion is a joke. Or are jokes not allowed by Traditional Values Coalition?
