I don't think the Bishops want to use Holy Communion as a club against pro-abort Catholic politicians.
I personally think that the Bishops are weak but I am not in their shoes. We should pray for the Bishop's to become stronger. God help the Roman Catholic Church and all of the unborn babies.

IMHO, the Catholic church's leadership has lost much of the credibility it had. Continuing coverups of gay sex and child molestation by priests has left them appearing as morally bankrupt and unwilling to follow even their own precepts.

The bishops speak of "The 'polarizing tendencies of election year politics' as if it were a bad thing. If politics have become polarized over the issue of abortion, it is because one party has strived to maintain a pro-life position, while the other has adopted the most outrageous infanticide-supporting dogma. No room in that party at all for pro-life candidates, as the treatment of the late Gov. Casey (D-PA) made clear.
The Democratic Party has made clear that they worship at the altar of Baal.
