Reminded, indeed. I agree completely.
A pair of panties on someone's head is horrible abuse and most newsworthy when it can be given an anti-bush spin, but the slicing out of one's tongue is of no note if a way has not been devised to show it in a hateful-to-Republicans motif.
Too bad that we can't make it required fiewing for Teddy K and his friendly cohorts on the news staffs. How about US reps asking the Arab newspapers what comments they have on the video.
Now there's a film the Dems could use as a fundraiser - instead of Michael Moore's F9/11 that he offered to them wholesale. It's shorter, more to the point, and isn't full of lies. Four minutes of THRUTH and the journalists can't handle it? Figures.
Didn't I hear Hannity say he was going to show this clip tonight?
I just lost my dinner.
I am absolutely appalled, disgusted, enraged, etc....by the likes of kennedy and company. If I say anything further I will get banned.
Actually we should make Teddy watch old footage of Mary Jo Koppechne's murder. I read the other day that the start of the 'Rat Love Orgy in Boston next month starts on the 35th anniversary of Teddy's Oldsmobile plunge.
I think the ungrateful fux in Iraq need to be reminded of what it was we liberated them from.
You cannot expect the news media to stop for something as trivial as mass-murder/torture by a murderous dictator, while there's a Republican in the White House.
BOOKMARKED!!!!!!!!!!
I will just say that I have very little, to the point of being non-existent, respect for the "journalism" profession. It comes in just under prostitution, drug-dealing, and pornography. At least, those "professions" don't deny what they are.
ABC says one of these guys is a "journalist". There is no difference between the men. Just that one is a "journalist" says the American Broadcast System. The one one the left. Who is an impartial person. Fit to run a Sunday talk show and reportedly being "groomed" for news anchor someday.
Hannity and Colmes played a small portion of the video(s) of the real torture that took place at Abu Ghraib (at the hands of Saddam).
It was apparently heavily edited; they only showed a few men being beaten on the back, but even that was difficult to watch.
What struck me was that in spite of the beatings being severe, the victims stood completely still rather than squirming and reacting to the strikes. As they were beaten on the backs with sticks, deep marroon marks would appear, yet the men courageously didn't seem to react. I think it's probably because the beatings would have been worse had they flinched.
They did not show the hands being cut off, only up until the point just before impact.
Here's a link to the page that has the video.

As horrible as these videos are, I think they NEED to be shown on American tele so people can see the full horror of what those people lived under. And to see what a bulbous blowhard Ted Kennedy is for saying that Abu Ghraib was now "re-opened under new management." I also think the videos of Nick Berg and Paul Johnson being murdered should be required viewing on every newscast (with appropriate notice to get crumb-crunchers out of the room.) And while we're at it, the news also needs to show the video from 9/11 of people leaping to their deaths and the street littered with parts of people.
This is a WAR we are involved in and far too many people have forgotten that. They need to be reminded.
