Seems they both over-reacted. But you just don't hit a cop. You don't even touch him. Most are understanding and can put things in perspective, but you always fine one (like here) who just loves to exert power. And
BTW, just cause she's 68 doesn't mean she's frail. I haven't seen a photo, but I've seen some old ladies who would chase down and beat up a pursesnatcher.
But of course, I don't know the whole story... I don't think she would hit an officer either.
