Good grief.
So now the RNC is stooping to class envy?
How rediculous.
Without a Perot or PJB in the running, "debate" on economic issues is gonna be a total farce.

Won`t Master card sue them for that? I heard about some lawsuit from Mastercard for an ad that used that "priceless" catch phrase, although I`m not too sure about the internet. To me the Repubs are blowing it big time by not focusing on Kerrys BS Irish heritage con job and his hidden French-ness. The guy speaks fluent French, spent his childhood in France, there are posters and stickers saying "Kerry for President" all over St.Briac France.. Are they kidding me? What are they waiting for? I mean I could come up with an ad in two seconds that would totally destroy him with that info..."John Kerry said that most foreign leaders support him as President" and then you cut to the French and their posters of him, their praise of him, and then have the announcer say "John Kerry speaks fluent French, grew up in France, owns a mansion in France. What has France done lately for our National security? Can we really trust a leader with such close ties to France? Do we really want France influencing the security of our children?"

Agreed. It's not exactly as if W worked his way up from poverty. What is the point of this ad other than sheer class envy?

That Kerry is twofaced.

He says we're in the worst economy since the Great Depression, and then the next day he goes to live it up on Nantucket.

I'd analyze it as a direct criticism of Kerry's "man of the people" facade he tries to put forth.

Naturally, the new RNC ad doesn't say anything about that.

Whoever's in charge of internet advertising for the GOP needs to be replaced or educated.

It raises awareness of how extravigant kerry actually lives. He potrays himself as representing common folk. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I am finding myself in shock at being in agreement with you, Willie.

I always thought "Freepers" were intelligent. I find it hard to believe that the "essence" of the commercial completely escapes you. I'll go slow and try to explain.

Kerry is on a "National Days of Malaise Tour" preaching doom and gloom about the economy. He is acting as if we're in the middle of the great depression.

He then leaves the campaign trail, and starts living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. The ad is about "HYPOCRACY", not class envy!! DUH!!

pPlease see response #13. Why is this commercial so hard for some people to comprehend. It is brilliant and well timed!! It NOTHING to do with class warfare or class envy!!!

I agree, but I am certainly surprised that "some" Freepers don't understand what this commercial is about. Maybe they need to read the script again, and again, and again, until they "get it" !!!

I haven't heard Kerry describe himself as representing common folk in the sense that he claims to be an average American in terms of wealth. To the contrary one of his TV ads says that he's had advantages, etc.

I don't agree that Kerry represents the interests of poor people better than W. But surely you don't have to be poor to represent the interests of poor people.

They can't get my name right in mail they send me...I am Mr. or my elderly 94 yr old mother-in-law - whose first name starts with same initial, and is in nursing home.

I paid for lifetime membership, only to be billed last two years for membership, and so I finally gave up and have quit trying to communicate with them. Needless to say my donations have stopped due to the errors.

I have been exasperated with that group for a long time, they need new $35 week clerks. This ad and their lack of attention to detail is hurting "W" big time.

It's actually spelled "hypocrisy".
And while Kerry's economic proposals may be severely flawed,
I think it's also very hypocritical of the RNC to paint a rosey picture of the job churn and workforce shift to the sevice sector that's fueled by outsourcing/trade policies and increased National Debt.
