I agree. I've been to South Korea twice, and my impression is that the Koreans are a very proud, patriotic, and determined people, unlike the spineless continental Europeans. If these animals are foolish enough to behead this poor soul, I think they will be making a mistake they'll seriously regret.
I believe that since this poor soul was kidnapped that the S. Korean gov't has indicated that they plan to increase their troop presence in Iraq. I would suggest to the US and the new Iraqi gov't that they put these troops to use in Fallujah. As I recall their reputation from the Korean War and elsewhere, the S. Koreans are kind of like the Turks---you DON'T want to piss them off.
What you describe reflects what we have seen from the Japanese in WWII, the Koreans and the Vietnamese. The various Asian cultures don't have a tendancy to take crap from anything or anybody. Very prideful people, which agree or not with their politics, one has to find refreshing.
Re your post #40, I have lived in South Korea and I can tell you that the Iraqis don't know what they are getting their stupid asses into. The Koreans, if their politicians turn them loose, are capable of doing some rough things to their opponents...even without weapons. They can use their hands and feet to do all that needs to be done.
