OK, war story time. When I was working patrol (I'm retired LE) I had a case where an ex-boy friend started beating on the the ex-girlfriend's windshield with a jackstand. Oh, the ex-girlfriend was sitting behind the wheel at the time. Well, she pulls an IverJohnson 38SW revolver, points it out the window and just bangs away. (Anyone familiar with handgun cartridges knows the 38SW is a garbage round). First round hits the femoral artery, second hits the aorta, third 5x's the heart, fourth round entered at the nose and the fifth round was nowhere to be found. I remember the coroner asking me during the autopsy if ex-girlfriend was Annie Oakley or just lucky. I guess any round will do the job if the placement is right.
