Lucky, yes. They are indeed wonderful Americans. And the photos I get to see are utterly mindblowing and informative. The stories. Assuredly there are things I cannot ask; and they cannot tell. But knowing you thank them, means so much to them.
I also get to hurt with them, when a member of their unit is gravely injured or dies. I've gotten to know many -- and they stay in touch with me. They can talk freely with me about their lives, and what they do -- something I'm sure they'd rather be doing with their own families -- but cannot -- because their families are either anti-war or Kerry/Clinton Democrats. Same thing, I suppose.

De Oppresso Liber PALS. As a wife of a SF soldier KIA recently, I can tell you with a great deal of certainty that the majority of the SF community supports GW. They are more proud to serve this commander in chief, than Bubba. Their missions are just and honorable. Before my husband left for his last trip over (mad and sad to see him go, again), he said, "if we don't kill them there, they will be killing us here."
