No suspense whatsoever. The Celts are sitting in the catbird seat between the right and left. On the one hand they are the ultimate white Northwestern European "aryans" and on the other they have been part of the leftwing socialist "national liberation" movement for over two centuries. In other words, they get a free pass from both sides.
I doubt if any other European people other than the Irish could get away with such an ethnocentric celebration as St. Patrick's Day.
You're so muddled by leftist PC concerns about "ethnocentrism" that you can't distinguish it from ethnic pride, something no American immigrant group need ever sacrifice.
Indeed we celebrate our roots, whether they be Irish, Italian, German, whatever. And we wear American flags on our lapels in witness to our patriotism. The two notions aren't mutually exclusive.
Nor are all Irish leftists, though that's another distinction bigots like yourself have difficulty making. Also, Mr. Z.C., you haven't explained your (probably racist) "honorary Africans" slur. But, consider the source: You probably think all Celts are Irish, not knowing whence the Celts originated and in how many nations they settled over their long history.
Last, a Saint Patrick's Day parade isn't a display of "nationalism," another term you bandy about in your muddled, befuddled way, like an amadaun. Slainte.
