But the Roman Catholic Church must be protected at ALL costs from "catholic bashers".

That guy is a leading candidate for pope in his own mind. Somehow I doubt he's even be considered.

As a Catholic, I share your sentiments--except for Catholic-bashing.

This Cardinal is a creep. Fits quite well, if you look at the rest of his agenda, a typical menu of 'social concerns.' The biggest clue to his makeup, however, was the statement indicating that he called on the Pope to step down.

I absolutely agree with you that the children must be protected; and that the priests who abuse them, and the bishops who enable these abusers, must go.
And that seminaries need to be cleaned up from top to bottom, and that ALL the bishops need to get back to the pursuit of holiness and teach the Catholic Faith in all its integrity.

I have a problem with certain individuals who come onto these threads ON PURPOSE to bash Catholics and attack the Faith itself. Their purpose is not to clean up the Church and purify it, but to attack it per se.
