Personally, I don't know all that much about the Endangered Spieces Act.

The Endangered Species Act has been repeatedly use by the government and groups like the Nature Conservancy and the Sierra club to remove private property from the hands of its owners, in the name of species protection. It is based on a UN protocol that does not acknowledge the rights of human beings to own property. Because of its single species focus, the effort to protect one species can harm many others. Finally, any law that forces an economic sacrifice of one individual rather than putting the cost on the whole society is anti-American.

As for the developers-- the kinds of development you despise are funded by the government in our county. They pay developers to build the ugly concrete prison blocks that are sprouting up all over our county, and I'll bet the same thing happens in your neck of the woods. The developers must be paid, because people won't buy/live in those things if the free market prevailed. However, because of the endangered species act, the government has given itself all kinds of authority to control where people live, how they live and what they live in. Ask the Klamath Basin farmers about the endangered species act-- ask anyone who has been priced out of a single family home because of the government control of the housing market.

This website has a lot of information, use their search engine to find articles about the endangered species act, "smart growth" and other soviet style encroachments on our freedom:

Thanks. I'll check it out.
