You would be the first Esther I ever met that was not in my grandparents' generation. Glad to see the name survives in better hands than the white trash that is the subject of this article.

Yep,
In a world of Debbies, Lindas, Pams, Susans and Cheryls, I was a real oddball.

The name was my mother's favorite book of the bible. I grew up hoping I could have the same faith and character as that Esther.

Miff's me that Madonna is claiming the name (barf).

I'm 25 and know or have met several women named Esther. It's not an old ladies name like say, Edith.
