How is it that class is filling in for trash?

Perhaps the radio station made the choice.

I'm now a fan of his.........just ordered his book, in fact.

Can't listen. Stupid baseball on. But I have Savage's book, reading it now and am a fan. I disagree with Michael on the Clinton portrait unveil (I think W was gracious to the point of nausea, and that's fine), but that's ok. Michael is Michael. I think he could use a little refining, but I'll continue to listen when I can get him. He is right 99% of the time for me, and he does have great guests and great callers. I hope he supports W because Kerry nor Nader have anything to help this country.

Enjoy Barry Farber while you can. He has been around since Goldwater days(me too). He was a lone voice for conservatism in the New York radio market. Sort of the William F. Buckley of radio.

When I was a kid I used to listen to Barry Farber's late night radio show. Since school nights were involved I had my 5 tube Silvertone under the covers with me. If I remember correctly he inherited the slot from Long John Nebel on WOR in NY.

Since we're in Seattle for the summer options on the radio aren't quite as diverse as Phoenix. Heard M.Savage a few times lately and he seems to have a class-warfare approach. Called Bush and Kerry both "princes" of the upper class or whatever, contrasting Reagan's roots to that. If he wants to do that one and say that's what we related to in R.W.R., then what about Clinton and his "humble roots"? The theory gets lost there I believe. People have qualities that transcend their upbringing. And G.W. truly seems "of the people" these days far more than his father ever did, or Kerry. Why can't Michael appreciate Pres. Bush more, was he always like this in his attitude toward him?

I like what I'm hearing. Lets hope KRLA realizes that we prefer reasoned conservativism over the raving kind.

Yes, I happened to hear Farber today and I was very impressed. Savage comes on when I start my car with the radio at 760, where I've turned it off when I arrive at work. Four times out of five I turn Savage off and pick up Hedgecock on 600. I like Hedgecock better but his show gets on to more local issues. Savage has more national coverage so I try to listen to him if I can stomach it (which I said I usually can't).

The other day Savage made a big error when he was talking to a caller about how to honor Reagan. Savage said they should name an aircraft carrier after him!

The USS Ronald Reagan (aircraft carrier) is presently sailing around South America, on its way to be home ported in San Diego, sometime next month.

Like the man. Sounds in cadence a bit like Walter E. Williams, smart, I'd tune in again!

I listened to Barry Farber decades ago. Glad to hear that he is still doing his thing.
