Here's the original version of Slick's apologia..."The American people owe me a lot for beating impeachment..LOok, if I'd a been kicked out, then Gore would have been re-elected in 2000 as a sitting president, by a landslide, and then where the hell would we all be after 9/11..Up the creek without a paddle..can you imagine that crazy, loony, SOB in charge of the country?

Exactly. And you can be damned sure that no one in the media will ask him if perjury and/or obstruction of justice are morally defensible if the subject is sex, thereby "illegitimizing" the impeachment process.

Under this standard, every rapist would be unpunishable under the law.

Apparently so! Great! If I ever go before a judge and he asks if I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, I'll tell him I am using the Clinton defense method and I'm about to lie my ass off! Whatta c*ck!

Notice the fiction that Monica was the only one, too, as if it was an aberration all the way around.

I distinctly recall the tote board listed about 10 bimbos in the WH who had relations with that man, Bill Clinton. That's not counting the rebuffs he received, like Kathleen Willey.

I see Hewitt's been doing his coaching again. I'm positive this:

"I did something for the worst possible reason. Just because I could," the former president said. "I think that's just about the most morally indefensible reason anybody could have for doing anything."

is the result of such coaching.
